California’s Secretary of State Talks with Public Policy Students About the Importance of Public Service

By Kathryn Wren |

Policy Chats ends the Spring 2022 quarter on a high note as Kevin Karami and Dean’s Brand Ambassador alumnae Maddie Bunting discuss public service with the Honorable Shirley Weber, California’s Secretary of State. Dr. Weber has a lifelong history of public service that shaped the leader we know today.

“Find your passion. What do you really want to do? What do you really love in a small way? And then do it, begin to do it. And you will be surprised that it will lead you into other areas that you had never dreamed of going before” said Dr. Weber on how students can become involved in public service.
