Economist Discusses Global Supply Chains

By Vivek Kakar |

On the latest episode of Policy Chats, UC Riverside Economics Professor Joab Corey discusses economic policy with public policy students. One of the biggest policy implications of the COVID-19 pandemic has been the supply chain delays and their impacts on the evolving economies of the world.

“This COVID-19 pandemic has actually led to an increase in real wages among the lowest quartile of earners…” said Dr. Corey on one of the complex impacts the pandemic has had.

The episode also covers changes in consumerism, the Great Resignation, and shifts in global production. Listen to the episode here.
