Disability Rights During the COVID Pandemic

By Kevin Karami |

On the latest episode of Policy Chats, Catherine Blakemore discusses the challenges the disabled population faces and disability rights during the COVID-19 crisis.

Blakemore was the former Executive Director of Disability Rights California. According to her profile, she “counts among her strengths her ability to come up with creative solutions that work for both sides in a dispute. She is also particularly proud of helping to change attitudes about people with disabilities and said she remains excited about her work despite decades of doing it.”

Maddie Bunting, who served as co-host for the episode, said, “Ms. Blakemore is a true inspiration for future policy leaders. I hope our conversation helps shed light on the inequalities people with disabilities face everyday.”
