At UCR’s Water Dialogue Lab, Professor Mehdi Nemati, Dr. Daniel Crespo, Distinguished Professor Emeritus Ariel Dinar, and MPP alumna Paloma Avila have developed tools to analyze water availability, use, and economic impacts in the Colorado River Basin. Their research explores the effects of climate change and policy, calling for adaptive planning, stronger economic resilience, and policy reforms to support long-term sustainability.
