Riverside Councilmember Addresses COVID-19 Relief and Recovery

By Maya Prasad |

On Wednesday, June 3rd, the UCR School of Public Policy will be hosting Councilmember Ronaldo Fierro for a virtual seminar regarding COVID-19 relief efforts in the City of Riverside.

The event will be held online through Zoom on Wednesday, June 3rd, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.

Ronaldo Fierro was elected to the Riverside City Council in 2019, representing Ward 3, which includes much of Riverside's center, including Victoria Woods, the Magnolia Center, Arlington, and the Airport neighborhoods. Fierro currently serves as the Chair of the Economic Development subcommittee and the Vice-Chair of the Finance and Budget subcommittee.

"I believe it is important to speak directly to local government officials on their response to the COVID-19 crisis,” said Paola Loera, a third-year public policy student. “I am interested to see what policies they are implementing and how we can be involved in these efforts.”

The event is open to the general public. RSVPs are being collected via http://bit.ly/spp-fierro. Registrants will receive a link in advance via email.
