On Wednesday, May 20th, the School of Public Policy will be hosting Assemblymember Jose Medina for a virtual seminar regarding the COVID-19 crisis.
The event will be held online through Zoom on Wednesday, May 20th, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
Assemblymember Jose Medina was elected in November 2012 to represent California's 61st Assembly District, which consists of Riverside, Moreno Valley, Perris, and Mead Valley. He currently serves as chair of the Assembly Committee on Higher Education. Assemblymember Medina is a UC Riverside alumnus with a bachelor's degree in Latin American Studies and a master's degree in History.
"I am grateful for the opportunity to hear my local government officials speak on the policies related to COVID-19. This is an excellent opportunity to see how officials are mitigating the effects of this pandemic," said Kamillah Pollard, a third-year public policy student.
