On Friday, February 28, the UCR School of Public Policy will be hosting an informational session for current UCR students looking to switch to the public policy major.
The event will be held in HUB 260 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Lunch will be served. At the session, Student Affairs Officer Laura Sosa will go over what public policy is, as well as requirements for the major. Current public policy students will also be on-hand to answer attendees’ questions.
“Many people do not know what public policy entails,” said Eric Calderon, a fourth-year public policy student. “It’s an incredibly broad major that gives people the opportunity to specialize in areas they are passionate about and be the change they want to see in the world.”
The event is open to UCR students. Those interested can register via https://spp-major.eventbrite.com. For more information about the panel, contact spp-advising@ucr.edu.
