Persist Women’s Political Engagement Conference

On October 26th, the UCR School of Public Policy held its ninth annual Persist Women’s Political Engagement Conference, bringing together students, professionals, and community members to discuss the importance of women’s participation and representation in leadership.

The conference featured keynote speakers Senator Eloise Gómez Reyes, Mayor Jacque Casillas, Dr. Paulette Brown-Hinds, and Dr. Cameo Carter, who shared their stories, backgrounds, and experiences across politics, business, education, and other fields.

Throughout the day, attendees heard from inspiring speakers and participated in panels and conversations focused on encouraging women to become more involved in politics and leadership.

Thank you to our speakers, panelists, and everyone who joined us for this year’s conference. We are grateful to everyone who helped make Persist a meaningful day of conversation, connection, and engagement.
